Sundial Books is a locally owned full-service bookstor
e on Chincoteague Island. Our inventory includes new books and best-sellers, local and regional books, used and collectible books, music CD's, gifts, cards, local art, Green Mountain coffee and more. We have two floors of books and plenty of comfy seats so you can take your time and find your next great read.
New books (print and e-books) and many of our regional books are available for sale on this site. If you are looking for used and collectible books, please call or email us for assistance.
Sundial Books is owned by Jonathan and Jane Richstein who visited Chincoteague in 2004, fell in love with the Island and relocated here in 2007. They are both avid, lifelong readers.
We are often asked what kind of bookstore this is. One of the best responses we can give is one we overhead a customer say to a friend. "This is the kind of bookstore where you can tell them what you like to read and they'll come up with a whole stack of books for you, most of which they have read themselves."
