The Best of Times

Jim Carpenter, known to many of you as the author of the books about Chincoteague cemetaries, has penned his own memoir. The book, The Best Of Times: A Life on Chincoteague Island, was just released and is filled with stories about Jim's life and experiences growing up and living on Chincoteague Island. Although he spent part of his life away from the Island, due to his father's work or his own, it was always part of him. Beyond telling his own history, the book provides glimpses into Island life from 1935 to the present.
